Remit PDF files generated from Medicaid 835SMay 22, 2008

Compliant Data Systems recently began providing its remit conversion service on the CDS Extranet. This enables clients to upload electronic 835 Supplementary files and automatically convert them to a human-readable PDF version of the remittance advice. The 835S contains data on claims that are denied or pended and may require rework. As is true for all interactions with the CDS Extranet, this service is completely secure to meet HIPAA requirements for protection of Private Health Information. The submitter can choose a sort method so the data on the PDF appears in the desired order. An email is generated by the extranet server to notify the submitter when the PDF is available for download.

New CDS Extranet Improves TurnaroundMay 5, 2008

Compliant Data Systems (CDS) recently rolled out a new extranet that is getting rave reviews from providers. Data security and reduced response time were motivations for the new site. Previously billers would submit files by email - CDS personnel would translate these files to HIPAA-compliant transaction sets and submit them to NYS on behalf of the client. Billers now have individual accounts on the extranet, which provides a secure channel from the client desktop and state-of-the-art data encryption on CDS servers to protect Medicaid Confidential Data. The translation and submission process is automated to minimize the time between file upload and submission to eMedNY. A secure database is updated and emails are automatically generated to advise the biller of progress. Submission history is always available on a personalized tracking page.
